You paid for that lead. Twice: once in ad spend, once in the case you didn't sign.

What Scout is

Not a chatbot.
Not an answering service.

An answering service takes a message. A chatbot makes people close the tab. Scout is a fully trained human intake team working your leads inside a system we built, staffed and monitor, with your scripts, your qualifying criteria and your calendar.

They aren't temps who learn your practice area on the job. They're trained on it before your first lead arrives, and they don't take holidays off, because there's always someone on the queue.

Hear it

A lead comes in at night.
This is what happens next.

Sample intake call · motor vehicle · 2:32 recorded
  • 0:06 Callback inside five minutes
  • 0:19 Recording notice
  • 0:27 "I'm not an attorney"
  • 0:42 The story, in the caller's words
  • 0:53 Qualification: report, treatment, state, insurance, counsel
  • 1:40 Consult booked, contact details confirmed

Re-enacted from a real Scout intake call. The names, the firm, the practice area and every detail of the matter have been changed. Voices are synthesised.

Why we built it

Two thousand firms.
The same bottleneck, every time.

Across more than two thousand law firms, the same thing kept showing up. Firms spending thousands a month on ads and still not closing, not because the leads were bad, but because nobody called them fast enough.

So they hire intakers. Months to train. Then holidays, after-hours, turnover, sick days, and the leads die anyway. Meanwhile the attorney is spending their own afternoon qualifying leads instead of practicing law.

My Legal Academy has always been a growth partner: intake systems, cutting-edge tech, marketing that fills the pipeline. Scout makes us a partner in conversion too. Not an experiment. A product shaped by the most expensive problem we've watched firms live with.

What you get

Everything, for $1,500 a month.

  • A trained human intake team

Assigned to your firm and trained on your practice area before your first lead lands.

  • 24/7 coverage

Nights, weekends, holidays. The queue is never unattended.

  • Five-minute callback

An alarm fires the second a lead arrives. Someone is dialing before the window closes.

  • Scripts written for your firm

Your practice area, your jurisdiction, your voice. Not a generic call sheet.

  • Qualification on every call

Your criteria, asked and recorded on the call. You see the answers before the consult.

  • Follow-ups and callback sequences

No-answers don't get dropped. They get worked until they're reached or ruled out.

  • Consults booked on your calendar

Qualified prospects, scheduled into your real availability. Nothing for you to chase.

  • Integration with your CRM

Scout runs inside the system you already use. Setup and integration are complimentary. No migration, no second inbox.

  • Monitoring and reporting

We watch response times, contact rates and booked consults, and tell you what they mean.

What happens to a lead

Seven steps, timed. The clock starts when the form is submitted.

  1. 0:00 Lead arrives

From your website form, Meta or Google ads, a directory or an inbound call. It lands in the Scout queue with a five-minute countdown.

  2. 0:01 Alarm fires

An intaker picks it up. Your script for that practice area and jurisdiction loads with the lead.

  3. <5:00 Callback placed

Dialed from your CRM's own phone system, so the call, the recording and the notes stay in your account.

  4. on call Qualified

Your criteria, asked in order and recorded. Legal questions are referred to you. Nothing is promised on your behalf.

  5. on call Consult booked

Into your real availability, with the confirmation and reminder sent by text and e-mail before the call ends.

  6. no answer Worked, not dropped

Callback sequence across days and channels until the lead is reached or ruled out. Every attempt logged.

  7. always Scored and reported

Every call is transcribed and scored against your script. You see response times, contact rates and consults booked.

Under the hood

A system, not a few reps with a phone.

Human intakers are the part you hear. The part you don't hear is what makes the five minutes hold at 3 AM on a holiday weekend.

  • queue Live intake queue with SLA alarm

Every lead carries its own countdown. The queue ranks by urgency, so a lead breaching its five-minute window outranks everything else on the floor.

  • scripts Script engine per firm

Your script renders live with the lead's details. Change your criteria and every intaker is on the new version within two business days.

  • dialer Native CRM dialing

Calls are placed and recorded inside your CRM's phone system, not a separate tool. Recordings, notes and consent records stay in your account.

  • qc Every call scored

Each call is transcribed and scored for script adherence, empathy, next step and compliance. Low scores go to a supervisor the same day.

  • consent Consent-gated messaging

A text goes out only where a consent record exists for that lead. Opt-outs are honoured across every channel. Quiet hours follow the lead's time zone.

  • sequences Callback and hold logic

No-answers re-enter the queue on a schedule. A lead with a callback time is held back until it is due, then surfaces at the right moment.

  • presence Staffed and logged 24/7

Intaker presence is logged on every clock action, so we can prove the queue was covered, hour by hour.

  • reporting Response, contact and booking metrics

Time to first call, contact rate, qualification rate and consults booked, by week and by lead source, with a human reading of what to change.

The alternatives

What 24/7 intake actually costs.

Every option bills differently, so we ran all of them against one identical month of real traffic from a live campaign: 145 leads, 808 calls, 797 talk minutes. Same month, five ways to pay for it.

Volume basis: one live legal intake campaign, trailing 30 days to 10 September 2026, taken from our own intake system. 145 unique leads after removing duplicates, 808 calls placed, 796.7 talk minutes, 5.6 calls per lead. Alternative pricing is each provider's own published rate card applied to that same month. The answering-service figure uses its entry tier plus published overage. In-house uses the US median receptionist wage of $38,010 a year (Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025) across the 4.2 people needed to cover 168 hours a week, wages only, before benefits, recruiting and training.

From today to live

Four steps. You're live in days, not next month.

  1. Today

Start online, or ask us to call

Choose a plan and pay in two minutes, or leave your details and we call you back the same way Scout will call your leads. Either door leads to the same team.

  2. Within one business day

    Orientation call

We show you Scout end to end: the queue, the scripts, the alarm, the booking. You give us your qualifying criteria and what a good case looks like for you.

  3. The first days

    Setup and integration

We connect your CRM and lead sources, write your scripts and load your calendar, all complimentary. You approve the script before a single lead is called.

  4. Then it just runs

    Go live

Your leads start getting called within five minutes, day or night. Qualified consults start appearing on your calendar.

Introductory pricing

The introductory rate is for our first ten firms.

Every firm gets dedicated intakers, custom scripts and a full integration we build at no charge. The first ten firms lock the introductory rate for as long as they stay, and they get a dormant-lead sweep in their first week: hand us up to 100 unconverted leads from the last 90 days and Scout calls every one of them, at no charge. After the first ten firms are in, the special deal on dormant-lead sweep expires.

Month to month $2,500 $1,500/mo

Introductory rate, locked for as long as you stay. No minimum term. Cancel before a billing date and the service ends at the close of that paid month.

We'll provide one. Setup and integration with Scout and your lead sources are complimentary. Added on your orientation call if you need it, not charged at checkout.

Paying accepts the Scout Terms of Service (version 1.0). Read them first if you like. They're short and written in plain English.

Rather talk first?

Before you commit

The questions attorneys actually ask.

Who are the intakers, exactly?

Trained intake specialists employed and managed by My Legal Academy, assigned to your firm and working your scripts. They're trained on your practice area before your first lead arrives. You're not paying for someone's learning curve.

I already have intake staff. Does this replace them?

Usually it covers what they can't: nights, weekends, holidays, lunch hours and overflow when three leads land at once. Your team keeps the relationships. Scout makes sure nothing goes unanswered inside the five-minute window, and works your web leads outbound, not just the calls that come in.

Which CRMs do you work with?

Scout runs inside the CRM you already use, and we handle the integration during onboarding at no charge. If you don't have a CRM, we'll provide one for $297/mo and set it up and connect your lead sources for you, again at no charge.

Do I have to pay before I've seen it?

No. Two doors, your choice. Start online today and your orientation call is booked within one business day. Or ask us to call you first, see the system and the scripts, and start when you're ready. Nothing is charged until you choose a plan.

Am I locked into a contract?

No minimum term on either plan. On the monthly plan, tell us before a billing date and the service ends at the close of that paid month. On the six-month plan, you keep the months you paid for and it doesn't renew. Paying accepts the Scout Terms of Service, which set all of this out in plain English, and you can print or save them at any time.

What if it turns out we're not a fit?

If we can see that on the orientation call, we'll say so and refund you in full. We'd rather hand a seat to a firm it works for.

What does "first ten firms" mean?

Two things, for the first ten firms that start Scout. The introductory rate of $1,500 a month stays locked for each of them for as long as they stay; firm eleven onwards pays the standard rate of $2,500 a month. And each of the ten gets a dormant-lead sweep in the first week: up to 100 unconverted leads from the last 90 days, every one called by a Scout intaker at no charge, with anyone still interested booked onto your calendar. We onboard every firm the same way.

How fast can we be live?

Most firms go from payment to first called lead within a week. The pace is set by how quickly we get CRM access and your qualifying criteria.

Do you only answer inbound calls?

No. Answering is the smaller half. Every web, ad and directory lead your firm receives gets an outbound call from a Scout intaker within five minutes of arriving, day or night, and no-answers are worked on a callback sequence until the lead is reached or ruled out. Inbound calls are answered as well.

Is this compliant with calling and texting rules?

Scout calls back leads who asked your firm to contact them. Every call opens with a recording notice and the intaker says they are not an attorney. Texts go out only where a consent record exists for that lead, opt-outs are honoured across every channel and quiet hours follow the lead's time zone.

Somewhere in your CRM right now,
there's a lead going cold.
